Day 1
Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by CHEETAH AFRICA SAFARIS representatives and transferred to your accommodation.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you from the hotel and will drive you to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi. We drive for 90 kms through the park before we reach Paraa in the late afternoon. Enroute we will stop at Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary for tracking the Rhinos that spend all the time in the swamp and also have Lunch here or Masindi Court View Hotel via Karuma Bridge to reach later in the afternoon at Fort Murchison just outside the park boundaries.” Here we will stay and with a cool drink and a fabulous view over the river Nile the evening will come with all the noise of an African night. Driving time: ± 7.5 hours

After early breakfast and we proceed to the ferry to cross the Nile in staying in the southern bank to the northern bank for early game drive this is fantastic and we shall be looking for the lions, hyenas, if luck we can spot a leopard and criss-crossing tracks. We shall be in close contact with giraffes, Kobs, Red bucks, Bush Bucks and Oribs. Amazing birdlife include Ground hornbill, Koori bustards, Stanley’s bustards, Crested Cranes, Yellow billed stalk, Saddle bill stock and a lot more. We get back to the lodge for lunch and thereafter we take a cruise up to the Nile to the bass of the fall, and this is magnificent spectacle. From here, the mighty river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to be placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos, biggest and the longest Nile Crocodiles, Water bucks and buffaloes. If lucky you may catch the sight of the rare shoe bill. In addition hippos and crocodiles are abundant and you will see elephants, buffaloes, water bucks and a variety of birds, ducks, bee eaters, fish eagles. Early morning we drive to Kibale Forest NP in Fort Portal. We will pass close to Lake Albert, on a clear day the view from the top of the Albertine rift valley is spectacular. Overseeing the traditional homesteads and on the local markets depending the day. We will have our safari packed picnic enroute to Fort portal. Before reaching our destination you will see the beautiful Mountain of the moons and the country’s biggest tea Plantations. Driving time: ± 9 hours

After early breakfast transfer to the Park Headquarters for briefing, here you will find one of the largest populations of chimpanzees in Africa, you will also have a chance to see other primates and forest bird life. Remember to carry water, rain gears, and jungle boots and back pack. It will be perfect opportunity to listen to the chimps as the grumble, feeding and these are our human closest relatives. After lunch in fort portal, and we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the Equator Queens pavilion, driving slowly through the crater track for scenic view. We shall check in for dinner and over night. Trekking time ± 4 hours

After a cup of tea/ coffee, we enjoy the spectacular sun rise and take on early morning game drive along the Queens Nile, Channel tracks and Kasenyi tracks. We shall be looking for lions, hyenas and if luck we can spot leopards. You will have the opportunity to see at close range herds of Kobs, herds of Cape Buffalos, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. Afternoon a boat trip along the hippo crowded banks of Kazinga channel a nature one that gives you a unique unequalled wildlife experience. Eye to eye with Yawning hippos and surrounded by a vast numbers of migrant and resident water birds? This boat cruise puts one, rights in the heart of nature, Many buffalos rest in shallows while big herds of elephants enjoy themselves drinking and playing along the channel banks. Crocodiles have become a common sight and occasionally leopards may be seen. The legendary giant forest hog is visible rocking the bush. Warthog is a hallmark sight on the Mweya pensula. The outstanding scenery along the crater at the foothills of the misty mountains of the moon (Mt. Rwenzori). The drive is breathtaking experience. Our friendly guides will assist in planning for a game drive giving you worthwhile talks. Retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Before departing to Ishasha sector we take a cup of tea/ coffee, and then we go for a 2 early morning game drive. We shall be looking out for lions, hyenas and if luck we can spot leopards. You will have the opportunity to see at close range herds of Kobs, herds of Cape Buffalos, return to the lodge for breakfast and we depart to Ishasha Sector driving through the park. Optional we can have our picnic lunch or we have lunch at our lodge. In the evening we go for the TREE CLIMBING LIONS safaris and if luck we might also spot leopards and other wildlife: elephants, topis, buffalos, and warthog, Retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast we depart to the home of the remaining endangered Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest it will depending which trekking sector. The bad road takes us through a beautiful landscape called the “Switzerland of Africa”. We pass mountains, hills and lakes with cultivated terraces and tropical rainforest and bamboo forest. On the last hill the landscape unfolds beneath us, in the vast plane of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo the Virunga volcanoes dominate the view.

Early morning breakfast before going for the gorilla tracking at 8:00 am, we go for the briefing at the gorilla offices with your group ranger. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, as this trek can take long hours of walking depending on their movement that day. Take with you lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences and your life time unforgettable memories with the amazing mountain gorillas. It’s awesome to listen to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback as well as watching them interact and play.

Bwindi impenetrable National Park is located on the edge of the western rift valley (Albertine rift), South Western Uganda. It is shared by Rukungiri, Kabale and Kisoro Districts. It covers around 331 square kilometres on an Altitude Range of 1160 metres (Ishasha gorge) to 2607 metres (Rwamanyonyi Peak). The annual average temperature Range is 7-20 degrees Celsius the coldest period being June and July.
Heaviest rains are experienced in March-April and September – November. Other months are generally dry. Annual Precipitation: 1130 mm – 2390 mm Coldest Period: June-July
Majority tribes are Bakiga and Bafumbira and few are Batwa, and these are the densest settlements in Uganda, (233 people/ square kilometers)Bwindi is a habitat to 326 gorillas almost half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. The forest has about 30 elephants and 120 species of mammals including 7 diurnal primates. 360 species of birds and over 200 species of butterflies. This Afro -montane forest has dense under storey of fern, vines, and shrubs. About 324 tree species have been recorded here, of which 10 don’t occur else in Uganda.

From Kisoro,From Kisoro it is about 1 hour by car to Nshongi/Nkuringo group in South Bwindi. At 7:45 A:M you will be at the starting point of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for pre-briefing and at 8:30 you will start the trek, after finding the Gorillas you will spend with maximum 1 hour. All visitors are expected back to the starting point. The walks can take ± 5 hours depending on where you find the Gorillas. It is a real hiking and being physically fit is recommend Down is Kisoro where we will stay in the famous Travelers Rest Hotel. Just outside Kisoro, this unique hotel offers a cozy stay for the tourists, whocome to see the endangered mountain gorilla. The hotel, built in a somewhat colonial style, and entirely renovated in 1999, has a comfortable ambiance. In the sixties the famous American ‘gorilla-woman’ Dian Fossey visited Hotel Travelers Rest many, many times to do paperwork, to relax or to meet people. Fossey said about the hotel: “It was my second home.”

After breakfast we will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a beautiful place surrounded by the hills of Western Uganda. Lake Bunyonyi is famous for birds, otters and delicious crayfish. We will spend the rest of the day here, have a swim if you want, try a canoe, or simply relax looking at the over 300 birds species you can sometimes see from the veranda (bring your binoculars)!

Early morning breakfast, visit the “BATWA” people commonly known as pygmies to have another experience of a minority ethnic group of people who leave a different and a very rare kind of life from the local people around the larva dammed lake. These people will entertain you dance for and also be part of them, participate and dance to their tunes for unforgettable memories. We drive to Lake Mburo National Park enroute we will stop in Mbarara for Lunch. Before checking in our hotel we do an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight;

Dinner and Overnight;

Departure (Optional activities) If departing in the morning the hotel has a shuttle to the airport but if departing in the evening then we take you to Kampala City tour and Craft shopping before transferring them to the airport for check in. There are also other activities in Entebbe like visiting the Ngamba Island for the orphaned chimps and it can be combined with Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (the former Zoo) There is also Botanical Gardens.
